CELESTIAL BODIES

Celestial Bodies is a small series in which eyes are used to represent various objects in space.

Sagittarius A* is believed to be the location of a supermassve black hole in the centre of the Milky Way Galaxy, depicted as a pure black iris and sclera.

Betelgeuse is a distinctive red supergiant star and one of the bightest stars in our sky, depicted here as an inflamed, swollen blood shot eye. Close to the end of it's life, it's thought that in as little as 100,000 years Betelgeuse will explode into a supernova.

Finally the Pale Blue Dot. Earth depicted as an eye with impaired vision. A cloudy blue cataract floating in the void.
